ABOUT THE PROJECT

Four Creative Workshops. One Massive Exhibition.
Just like a kaleidoscope, our community is made up of countless unique, distinct, and colourful pieces. On their own, they are beautiful. But when brought together, they create something spectacular.
For Pride Month 2026, Melton Rainbow Social is launching our most ambitious creative project yet. We are inviting you to help us build a massive art installation, piece by piece.
Whether you are an experienced artist or someone who has never picked up a paintbrush, there is a place for you in this project. Join us to Grow, Flow, Reveal, and Glow.

THE 4 PILLARS OF KALEIDOSCOPE

Join us for one project, or complete the full series.

UN/MASKED:

The Art of Identity
Explore the difference between the face you show the world and the truth you hold inside. In this session, you will decorate a suspended, double-sided mask. Paint the outside to represent your public persona, and use words/markers on the concave inside to express your inner self.
Workshop Date: Sunday, 22nd February
Time: 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Location: TBC
Drop-in Opportunity: Tuesday, 3rd March

BEACONS OF PRIDE:

Lantern Installation
It’s time to shine a light. Help us transform recycled glass jars into a glowing wall of "stained glass" lanterns using colorful tissue paper and silhouettes. These beacons represent our visibility and the warmth of our community.
Workshop Date: Saturday, 11th April
Time: 11:00am – 2:00pm

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Option 1: Book a Workshop
Our main Saturday/Friday workshops are guided sessions where we come together as a group to create. Bookings are essential.
Option 2: Casual Drop-In Sessions
Can't make the main dates? You can work on these projects during our regular drop-in social sessions at Earth Village. No booking required for drop-ins—just show up and create! Check the project list above for specific dates.
Option 3: DIY Kits (Shipping Early 2026)
Create your piece of the pattern, from your living room. We can send a "At-Home" kit for the Kaleidoscope Exhibition. Order a kit, create your art, and send it back to join the collective display for Pride 2026.
