Who Are We
Melton Rainbow Social (MRS) are a volunteer led community organisation based in the Melton Region of Melbourne Australia. Our goal is to support and unite the LGBQIA+ members of this area by creating vibrant, accesible and safe spaces where everyone feels included and safe to be themselves.
Through organising and hosting various events, gatherings, and initiatives, MRS provides a platform for LGBTQIA+ individuals to come together, socialize, share experiences, and build lasting friendships.
What We Do
Along with creating and hosting amazing and engaging events and workshops for the LGBTQIA+ community, MRS also offer personal develeopment and consultancy for your workplace, business or organisation to improve allyship, foster awareness and reduce discrimation.
Whether it is a large scale presentation of our 'How to be a good ally workshop' or a personalised consultation for a small team with one of our board members, MRS can tailor a training session to meet the needs of your business and increase visibility and equality in your workplace.

Mission Statement
Melton Rainbow Social is dedicated to fostering meaningful social connections within the LGBTIQA+ community and its allies across the Melton LGA and surrounding areas. As an organisation, we are committed to creating and sustaining safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces where individuals can come together to build and strengthen both new and existing relationships. We believe that connection is the foundation of a thriving and resilient community, and we strive to ensure that every person feels valued, respected, and supported.
Our work is grounded in collaboration with stakeholders, community members, and service providers to amplify the voices of those who often go unheard. Through this collaboration, Melton Rainbow Social plays a pivotal role in advocating for representation and support while ensuring that all members of the community have access to opportunities to connect and grow.
We aim to go beyond building social connections by serving as a bridge to appropriate services and resources. Through partnerships with service providers, we design and deliver innovative programs that focus on mental health and the prevention and early intervention of family violence within the LGBTIQA+ community. These programs are developed with care and a deep understanding of the unique needs of our community, helping to foster resilience and well-being.
The 2025 Event Focus Statement embodies our commitment to fostering connection, celebration, and resilience within the LGBTIQA+ community and its allies. Through a diverse and dynamic calendar of events, we aim to honour the richness and vibrancy of the community, creating spaces that promote joy, reflection, and solidarity. Each event is thoughtfully designed to strengthen a sense of belonging, inspire unity, and celebrate the diversity that makes our community unique.
In addition to celebration, our events integrate educational initiatives, mental health resources, and opportunities for meaningful collaboration. This ensures our events are not only celebratory but also provide practical support and create lasting impact within the community.
